More meme-ish stuff
It's snowing. When in the fuckity-fuck is spring coming. Argh! Here are some more ask me meme answers.

[info]ella_bane asked three questions: What's the latest movie you watched? What movie coming out soon would you like to watch? What's your favorite movie adapted from a book?

I don't go to many movies, unfortunately, and if I do they're usually kid-orientated. So the last movie I saw in the theatre would have been The Spiderwick Chronicles, which I thought was decent. I haven't read the books though. And the last movie I saw at home on TV was Ella Enchanted. *sigh* I really do need some adult entertainment. Although I have been watching John Adams on HBO and loving it, especially Tom Wilkenson as Ben Franklin.

My answer to the second question would be Prince Caspian (my kids are so excited about this one too, and he looks so dishy!) and Batman Returns.

As far as my favorite movie adapted from a book, I had to really think long and hard about, and then I remembered Princess Bride was adapted by William Goldman from his own book, which I have read, so there you go. Then I started thinking about successful book adaptations -- coincidentally I was watching BBC's Pride & Prejudice on TV last week -- and how difficult adapting books can be. Kurosawa's Throne of Blood (from MacBeth) and The Unbearable Lightness of Being are two film adaptations, just off the top of my head, that worked really well, imo.

[info]aqua_eyes asked, "What's your guilty pleasure?"

Chocolate. Chocolate. Chocolate. Especially dark chocolate. I have a tin of freshly-baked chocolate cookies with white chocolate chips sitting on the counter beside me. Mmmm. Probably a close second would be cheese.

[info]stillaseeker asked, "What were you like in school? Have you changed?"

Quiet and serious. I'm still quiet, but I don't think I'm as serious as I used to be. I was an art major in college and in high school all I did when I wasn't in class was hang around the art room painting and drawing. I was kind of your typical emo kid. I used to wear a lot of black and had spiffing collection of vintage tuxedo jackets and overcoats to wear with my peg-legged jeans and Chuck Taylors. Oh yes, I was a style icon.

I also think with time there is experience. Even though I still stress and emo about stuff, but I'm a lot more laid back than I used to be.

Finally, [info]lillian_cho asked me about my favorite number or color.

I don't really have a favorite number, so let's go with color: Red. I love a pretty red dress, and I love red shoes. I can't say I hate any color -- I even like a nice chocolate brown, but red definitely wins all.

I found this on Jezebel: 100 Unsexiest Men on the Planet. Mike Huckabee, Tom Cruise, Keith Urban ("Looks like Ellen DeGeneres with five-o'clock shadow." Hee!), Eddie Murphy... Yeah, I pretty much agree with their selections, although how Spencer Pratt lost the number one spot to Roger Clemens, I'll never know.
